The purpose of the High School Bioethics Project is to support and facilitate expanded bioethics pedagogy in secondary education. Our project has operated within four domains: teacher training, student education, web resource development, and policy development, utilizing the internet for broad dissemination and collaborative development of project initiatives.

Since 2001, we have sponsored several instructional workshops, intensive summer courses, teacher fellowships, and student internships. Additionally, staff have delivered or facilitated dozens of lectures and outreach events and have partnered with high school teachers who have developed bioethics curricula for use in science classes and syllabi for stand-alone bioethics courses.
