The Dana Foundation's "Brain Awareness Week"

Brain Awareness Week is an international effort organized by the Dana Alliance for Brain Initiatives to advance public awareness about the progress and benefits of brain research. The Dana Alliance is joined in the campaign by partners in the United States and around the world, including medical and research organizations; patient advocacy groups; the National Institutes of Health, and other government agencies; service groups; hospitals and universities; K-12 schools; and professional organizations.
The Dana Foundation private philanthropy with principal interests in brain science, immunology, and arts education. Charles A. Dana, a New York State legislator, industrialist and philanthropist, was president of the Dana Foundation from 1950 to 1966 and actively shaped its programs and principles until his death in 1975.
IALES - The International Association of Law, Ethics, Bioethics and Science

IALES was founded in 1989 and acts as an international network for exchanging information and ideas on the relationships between science, ethics and society. It is not a purely academic body but sets out rather to influence policies and policy making in this area. It offers decision makers, international organizations and the public a range of multidisciplinary and multicultural views and experience so that the questions raised can be understood in all their social complexity. The aim is to place the debate on bioethics in its geo-political and geo-cultural context.
